For the 2024 Escape models, Ford provides a wide selection of powertrain options. For instance, there are four available powertrains for the new Ford Escape. First off, the 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine that powers the base trims, Base, Active, and ST-Line Trims, produces 180 HP and 199 pound-feet of torque. Additionally, an all-wheel drivetrain is an option in addition to the conventional front-wheel drive and eight-speed automatic transmission.

A 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that generates 250 HP and 280 lb-ft of torque powers the ST-Line Select, ST-Line Elite, and Platinum models. An eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive are also included in this powertrain.

A hybrid powertrain with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and a hybrid system that generates 192 HP is also available for the ST-Line Select and other premium trims. A continuously variable automatic transmission pairs with this hybrid powertrain.

Finally, the Plug-in Hybrid version of the vehicle has a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric motor and a 14.4 kWh battery pack, providing up to 210 horsepower. A continuously variable automatic transmission and a front-wheel drive system are also included in this plug-in hybrid powertrain.
